Paris Set to Host 2024 Games

The Closing Ceremony of the Tokyo 2020 Summer Olympic Games took place on August 8, 2021, at the Olympic Stadium in Tokyo. The ceremony, which lasted for about two and a half hours, featured speeches, performances, parades, and tributes.

"The greatest sporting show on earth has come to a close with Tokyo providing a classy farewell to the Olympics handing over to Paris for 2024," said IOC President Thomas Bach.
