Chris Trapasso Grades the Third Round of the 2024 NFL Draft
Day 1 of the 2024 NFL Draft Did Not Disappoint
The first day of the 2024 NFL Draft did not disappoint as six quarterbacks were taken with the first 10 picks. The Bears traded up to select C.J. Stroud with the No. 1 overall pick, while the Texans took Bryce Young at No. 2 and the Colts landed Anthony Richardson at No. 4. The Panthers, Titans, and Falcons also selected quarterbacks in the first round.
The Bears Are Really Looking to Upgrade the Athleticism and Quickness in Their Offense
The Bears are really looking to upgrade the athleticism and quickness in their offense, and they did that by selecting Stroud, who is one of the most dynamic playmakers in this year's draft class. Stroud is a threat to run and pass, and he should be a major upgrade for the Bears' offense.
2023 NFL Draft Third-Round Grades
The Steelers earned an A- for their selection of Darnell Washington in the third round. Washington is a massive tight end who is a matchup nightmare for opposing defenses. He is a great receiver and blocker, and he should be a major asset for the Steelers' offense.
The Eagles hit and miss in the third round. They selected cornerback Darius Rush with the 92nd overall pick, and he is a good value pick. However, they also selected safety Nolan Smith with the 100th overall pick, and he is a bit of a reach.
